EWA BEACH FREESTORE POLICIES

NEW LOCATION

  1. The ‘Ewa Beach Freestore focuses on plants, seeds, and anything garden related.
  2. Address: curbside at 91-878 Haiamu Street.
  3. Hours: 24/7, except for extreme weather.
  4. Anyone and everyone can participate. *No one works at the Freestore. It is autonomous, meaning all users are expected to contribute to its maintenance. (an·ar·chism /ˈanərˌkizəm/ n. the organization of society on a voluntary, cooperative basis without recourse to force or compulsion.)
  5. TURN OFF YOUR CAR. Global warming is bad enough as is.
  6. Do not take the containers holding the plants unless they are potted plants.
  7. Do leave empty planting pots, but clean them out first. If you drop off plants, label what they are. Sharpie on cardboard works great. Put a rock on, or nail through, the cardboard.
  8. Not accepting Aloe Vera plants unless potted.
  9. If you are in any garden or community facebook groups, e.g. 808 Green Thumbs, O‘ahu Garden Hub, or Ewa Beach & Kapolei Community Group, make a post on what you dropped off pointing them to the Ewa Beach Freestore at nomoola.com/ewa-beach-freestore
  10. DO NOT LEAVE DISEASED PLANTS. DO NOT LEAVE PEST INFESTED PLANTS or SOIL MEDIUM.
  11. Close SHARE SEEDS box so the packets don’t get wet.
  12. Bulk seeds drop-offs are welcomed. They will be packaged in small quantity and redistributed.
  13. If you drop off fruits, do draw faces on them. Respect neighbors.
  14. Do not park in the driveway.
  15. Refrain from loud noises in the evening.

  17. Inventory changes minute by minute. Don’t ask Leo to hold things for you. His dogs will get cranky.
